President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio has hailed the Super Eagles of Nigeria for beating the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon to qualify for the quarter finals of the ongoing CAF African Cup of Nations.
In a statement yesterday in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, the President of the Senate said with Saturday’s triumph over Cameroon, the Super Eagles have proven they have what it takes to beat any team in Africa.

Charging the team to bring home the trophy, Senator Akpabio also said the resourcefulness and industry of the Super Eagles from Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, also known as the Nest of Champions, in Uyo, to Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan was never in doubt.
Praising the Super Eagles for their resilient, tactical discipline, and teamwork, he added that he felt proud watching the Super Eagles demobilize the lions.
