Buhari’s Leadership Left Indelible Mark says Former Lagos Governor Ambode

Former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has paid tribute to the late President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a true statesman who led with dignity, integrity and a deep sense of responsibility to the Nigerian people. Ambode said Buhari’s unwavering commitment to justice, national unity and progress left an indelible mark on the country’s history.

Reflecting on Buhari’s relationship with Lagos, Ambode recalled the former president’s strong support for the state, including the concession of several federal properties. He specifically mentioned the Presidential Lodge in Marina and the upgrade of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Road into a multi-carriage highway, which demonstrated Buhari’s recognition of Lagos as a state with special status.
