The President of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe, has rejected allegations of corruption levelled by the Senegalese government following a dispute over the Africa Cup of Nations final result.
Senegal had accused CAF of misconduct after the governing body overturned their 1-0 win against hosts Morocco on January 18, 2026, and awarded the match 3-0 to Morocco on March 17. The decision followed Senegalese players walking off the pitch after a penalty was awarded in added time.
Speaking in Morocco, Motsepe said he welcomed any legal challenge and expressed confidence that CAF would respect and implement any ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport, CAS.

The Senegalese Football Federation has already appealed the decision to CAS, while the government has called for an international investigation into alleged corruption within CAF.
