Renowned Canadian stage actor Julian Arnold has passed away at the age of 60. The actor reportedly suffered a medical emergency while performing in ‘A Christmas Carol’ at Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre on Sunday, 24 November 2024.
According to Alberta Health Services spokesperson Kerry Williamson, multiple resuscitation attempts were made, but Arnold tragically died at the scene. The incident has shocked the theatre community and his fans worldwide.

The Citadel Theatre’s executive director Jessie van Rijn and artistic director Daryl Cloran described Arnold as an extraordinary talent whose performances brought “joy, heart, and depth to every role.” They said his artistic contributions would be deeply missed.
