The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has introduced designated contact lines for bank customers to report challenges with withdrawing cash at bank counters or automated teller machines (ATMs). This move aims to address growing concerns over cash accessibility.
CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso, had on November 29, urged customers to report any difficulties encountered, after directing banks to prioritise cash disbursements through ATMs or face penalties for non-compliance.

In a circular issued on Tuesday, signed by Solaja Olayemi, Acting Director of Currency Operations, and Isa-Olatinwo Aisha, Acting Director of Branch Operations, the CBN outlined steps for lodging complaints which include sending an email to Lagos@cbn.gov.ng or calling 02012360023 for those resident in Lagos and for those resident outside Lagos, see contacts in images below
