The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has rescheduled its 299th Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting, originally set for 17–18 February. The meeting will now take place on 19–20 February at the bank’s headquarters in Abuja.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Monday.

This will be the first MPC meeting of 2025. It was initially planned for 27–28 January but was postponed to February.
The committee, chaired by CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso, serves as the apex decision-making body on monetary policy. At its last session, held on 25–26 November 2024, members voted to raise the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) from 27.25% to 27.50%, reinforcing efforts to manage inflation and stabilise the economy.
