Celine Dion announces return to stage after protracted health battle

Canadian singer Celine Dion has announced her return to live performances after a lengthy break due to illness. The 58-year-old revealed on Monday, her birthday, that she will stage a series of ten concerts in Paris between September and October, marking her first shows in more than six years.

She said the comeback follows improvements in her health after being diagnosed in December 2022 with Stiff Person Syndrome. The condition had forced her to cancel her ‘Courage World Tour’ and step away from performing.

Dion confirmed she is now managing her condition and “feeling good”, adding that she will also release a new single written by French composer Jean-Jacques Goldman, which she is expected to perform during the Paris shows.
