A man recently granted clemency by Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has found himself back in custody. Mr. Omisakin Sunday, pardoned late last year as part of a clemency programme for 53 convicts, is accused of burglary and theft.
The Osogbo Magistrate Court heard allegations that Mr. Sunday broke into the property of one Damilare Shittu in the Iludun area of Osogbo, and stole a plasma television valued at ₦600,000.

Presiding Magistrate Adeyeba Adekanmi heard a plea of ‘not guilty’ from the accused. However, the Prosecutor, Inspector Kayode Adeoye, opposed bail, citing Mr. Sunday’s recent history as a convict serving a jail term before his pardon.
