The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited says it has restored operations on the Escravos-Lagos gas pipeline following an explosion. The completed repairs were confirmed in a statement signed by NNPCL Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Andy Odeh.
NNPC said the explosion had disrupted gas supply to some facilities and industries. Engineers were deployed to assess the damage and carry out repairs.
The company said safety checks were conducted before gas flow resumed and added that surveillance has been increased along the pipeline route.

According to the company, restoring the pipeline will stabilise gas supply to power plants and industries. The NNPCL pledged continued monitoring to prevent future incidents.
