The Federal High Court Abuja has fixed the 7th of September to hear a legal suit seeking the disqualification of the presidential candidate of Nigeria’s ruling party, the All-Progressives Congress, the APC, Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu from contesting in the 2023 elections.

The APC members under the platform of the Gaskiya youth movement filed the suit on the 2nd of June seeking Mr. Tinubu’s disqualification for the alleged submission of forged documents to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in the process of seeking the parties ticket.

Counsel to the plaintiffs, Mr. Goddy Uche, told the court that his clients have not been able to serve Mr. Tinubu the papers on the case and have been forced to rely on a substituted service as all efforts to reach the presidential candidate have proved abortive.
