A Federal High Court in Kaduna has adjourned the bail application of former governor Nasir el-Rufai to Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
Justice Rilwani Aikawa fixed the date after proceedings on Tuesday, during which defence counsel, Ukong Akpan, withdrew a motion seeking the judge’s recusal, and the prosecution filed a counter affidavit.

El-Rufai and Joel Adoga were arraigned on March 24 by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission on charges of alleged fraud and money laundering, to which they pleaded not guilty.
