Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has reaffirmed that his order maintaining the status quo on the Peoples Democratic Party’s planned national convention remains binding. He warned that no party should take any step that could undermine the court’s authority or render its decision ineffective.
The judge issued the caution after PDP lawyer Chris Uche, SAN, complained that his client was being restrained by the order and sought a speedy hearing. Justice Omotosho assured that judgment would be delivered before the end of October and fixed October 20 for a definite hearing of the suit.
