The Dallas Wings have signed Nigerian forward Amy Okonkwo on a seven-day hardship contract as they contend with injuries and a packed WNBA schedule.
Okonkwo joins fresh from captaining Nigeria’s D’Tigress to a fifth consecutive FIBA Women’s AfroBasket title in Abidjan, where she was named tournament MVP for the second successive year.

The 28-year-old was instrumental in Nigeria’s victory over Mali in the final, cementing her status as one of Africa’s leading players.
She will be available for the Wings’ clash with the Seattle Storm on Friday, bringing leadership, championship pedigree, and international experience to Dallas.
