Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has named the main access road to his Lagos refinery after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, citing the President’s pivotal role in advancing the multibillion-dollar industrial project.
The announcement was made during the formal commissioning of the Deep Sea Port Access Road, which links the Dangote Fertiliser Plant to Eleko Junction in Lagos State.
Addressing the President, Mr. Dangote described the refinery complex as President Tinubu’s brainchild before declaring that the route would henceforth be known as ‘Bola Ahmed Tinubu Road’.

He praised Mr Tinubu’s leadership as ‘courageous’ and ‘ambitious’, crediting the administration with restoring investor confidence across the private sector.
The newly unveiled road forms part of an extensive 500-kilometre infrastructure programme, including two cross-border projects in Borno State intended to boost regional trade with Chad and Cameroon.
The route connects Epe–Ijebu-Ode to the Sagamu–Benin Expressway, enhancing national logistics capacity.
