Afrobeats star Davido has dismissed rumours of a lasting feud with fellow singer Tiwa Savage, describing recent tensions as a brief misunderstanding.
In an interview monitored by Radio Now’s Newsdesk, the Grammy-nominated artist referred to Tiwa Savage as a ‘big sister’ and explained that a disagreement arose after he asked her to help facilitate contact with his daughter. The child’s mother is reportedly a close friend of hers.

Davido, currently involved in a custody dispute, acknowledged the conversation became heated but denied any serious fallout.
The clarification follows a January 2024 police complaint by Tiwa Savage, who accused Davido of issuing threats after she posted a photo with the child’s mother. Davido’s latest comments appear aimed at defusing speculation over the nature of their relationship.
