The Development Bank of Nigeria, DBN, has been named the best government institution in the country in the 2023 Transparency and Integrity Index ranking.
The ranking, which was released in Abuja yesterday, placed the Nigeria Investment Promotion Council, NIPC, and the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN in second and third positions respectively.

The index assessed 511 government institutions and was compiled by the Centre for Fiscal Transparency and Integrity Watch, CeFTIW, in collaboration with the Bureau for Public Sector Reform.
The three worst institutions were the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital in the 509th position, the Upper Niger River Basin Development Authority in the 510th position and the Veterinary Council of Nigeria in last place.
