Human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju has raised doubts about whether winners of the Big Brother Naija reality show actually receive their prize money. In a post on his X handle, he questioned why several past winners appeared to struggle financially after the show.
Adeyanju’s comments came a day after Imisi was declared winner of the 10th edition of the programme, taking home a ₦150 million grand prize. His remarks sparked mixed reactions online, with fans urging him to name those allegedly left unpaid — a challenge he did not address.

The controversy follows earlier complaints from Phyna, the 2022 winner, who accused the organisers of failing to deliver all her promised prizes. Neither the show’s producers nor past winners have responded publicly to Adeyanju’s latest claims.
