The Dhul Hijjah crescent, which signals the beginning of the 12th Islamic month, has been sighted.
This is according to the authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who made the announcement in a message shared by Haramain, a Saudi-based online news platform, on X on Thursday.
Dhul Hijjah is the 12th and final month of the Islamic lunar calendar, during which Muslims travel to Makkah for hajj.
