Dije Aboki Sworn In As First Female Chief Judge Of Kano

Mr. Abba Yusuf, governor of Kano State, has sworn-in Dije Audu Aboki as the first female chief judge of the state.

Aboki was sworn in on yesterday at the government house. 

The governor underscored the importance of cooperation between the judiciary and other arms of government, adding that the relationship between the three arms is not competitive, but complementary.

Speaking on the challenges of justice dispensation, Governor Yusuf says there is a need to address violent crimes promptly, adding that when such cases are dealt with expeditiously and those found guilty are punished, it will deter others hoping to engage in criminal acts.

Responding to the governor’s comments, the chief judge expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the state and pledged to uphold integrity, honesty, and justice in her role.
