Award-winning cinematographer Praise Onyeagwalam, popularly known as Director Pink, has opened up on why she gave up her ambition to become an actress. In an interview with Hip TV, she said she left the film industry after facing humiliation and sexual exploitation during auditions.
She recalled enduring long queues and inappropriate invitations from male filmmakers, experiences that eventually pushed her to change career paths. Determined to take control of her craft, she moved into music video directing, where she has since built a strong reputation.

Director Pink acknowledged that filmmaking also comes with its own challenges but said she remains focused on success. She advised aspiring directors to be patient, avoid shortcuts, and stay consistent, stressing that lasting achievement in the industry takes time and dedication.
