DMO Opens November FGN Savings Bond for Subscription

The Debt Management Office has announced the opening of subscriptions for the November 2025 edition of the Federal Government of Nigeria Savings Bond. The offer, which runs from November 3 to 7, provides Nigerians with an opportunity to invest safely while earning attractive interest rates.

According to details released by the DMO, two instruments are available: a two-year bond maturing in November 2027 at an annual rate of 13.565 percent, and a three-year bond maturing in November 2028 with a rate of 14.565 percent. The minimum subscription is ₦5,000, available in multiples of ₦1,000 up to ₦50 million per investor.

The DMO said interest will be paid quarterly in February, May, August, and November, with settlement scheduled for November 12. The bond is fully backed by the Federal Government and listed on the Nigerian Exchange, allowing investors to trade and enhance liquidity.

It added that the FGN Savings Bond qualifies as a trustee security and offers tax exemptions for pension funds and other eligible investors. Interested Nigerians have been advised to contact authorised stockbroking firms for participation.
