Nigeria's Cricket Team Crush Cote d’Ivoire with Record 264-Run Victory

A driver narrowly escaped death on Monday when a loaded 40-ft container fell onto a Toyota Corolla with registration number LSR 293 HJ at Mile 2, en route to Apapa, Lagos. Emergency responders, including the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and LASEMA, rescued the driver alive in a swift and coordinated operation.

LASTMA’s Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment, Adebayo Taofiq, confirmed that efforts to remove the fallen container were underway. He added that LASTMA officers were managing the scene to ease traffic congestion and restore normalcy.

Speaking on the incident, LASTMA General Manager Olalekan Bakare-Oki emphasised the critical need for truck drivers and owners to properly secure containers. He noted that negligence in this regard poses severe risks to lives and property.
