The Department of State Services, DSS, has apprehended a suspected arms dealer who was tracked from Niger Republic into Zamfara State.
The suspect was presented to Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, at the Government House in Gusau on Tuesday evening.
Speaking to journalists after the briefing, Governor Lawal highlighted the importance of public collaboration in the fight against crime. He revealed that the suspect had been under surveillance and was carefully tracked across international borders, demonstrating the effectiveness of intelligence-sharing between nations.

The operation, carried out in coordination with troops from the 1 Brigade of the Joint Task Force Operation Hadarin Daji, was initiated following reports of arms trafficking networks operating out of Niger Republic.
