Nigeria’s men’s basketball team, D’Tigers, have qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2025 Afrobasket in Angola after defeating Cameroon 99–90 in their final Group B game.
The win was Nigeria’s third in the group, following earlier victories over Madagascar and defending champions Tunisia. The team finished top of the group with a perfect record.

At the Pavilhao Multiusos de Luanda, D’Tigers built a commanding 84–53 lead by the third quarter. Cameroon rallied in the final period to reduce the margin, but Nigeria held on for the win.
D’Tigers will face the winner of the quarter-final qualifier between Senegal and South Sudan on Wednesday.
