Pastor Paul Adefarasin of the House on the Rock Church has pledged increased investment in young people to foster national development. Speaking at a press conference to mark the 19th edition of ‘The Experience,’ a global gospel event, the cleric highlighted its significant economic impact on Lagos. He referenced a 2014 CNBC report estimating the event’s contribution to the city’s economy at $25 million, benefiting transportation, commerce, and the hospitality industry.
Radio Now’s George Onuorah reports that the cleric also revealed plans for a globally impactful song featuring prominent gospel artistes and cutting-edge technology like holograms to engage ministers unable to attend in person. He further announced an upcoming collaboration between gospel artistes Limoblaze and Lecrae on a new track.

On her part, Co-convener Pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin noted that inflation has driven the cost of organising the event up by over 400%, largely due to the exchange rate and the international origins of many participating artistes. Despite the challenges, she expressed commitment to delivering a memorable experience.
Set for Friday evening, December 6, 2024, ‘The Experience 19’ will feature renowned artistes, including six-time Grammy winner Israel Houghton, Sinach, Travis Greene, Mercy Chinwo, and Lecrae, drawing audiences from across Nigeria and beyond. Gospel singer Sinach expressed gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate God’s goodness once again.
