The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has dismissed terrorism allegations made by Niger Republic against Nigeria and other member states as “unfounded.” The regional body reaffirmed its support for its members in a statement issued on Thursday.
Niger Republic had accused Nigeria and other ECOWAS nations of colluding with France to destabilise its government. However, ECOWAS categorically denied the claims, describing them as baseless and lacking evidence.
