The candidate of the Labour Party in the Edo state gubernatorial elections of Saturday 21 September, 2024, Olumide Akpata, has said the people were complicit in the exercise, which he described as a charade.
While speaking on Radio Now’s ‘The Big Story’, he said he was surprised at the open display of vote buying and selling despite the people assuring him, during the campaigns, that they had had enough of the old ways. According to him even Labour Party members could not resist selling their votes.
