Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has declared former Bayelsa State Governor and ex-Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, wanted.
According to EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, Sylva is being sought over alleged conspiracy and dishonest conversion of $14.8 million linked to funds from the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board.
A Federal High Court in Lagos reportedly issued a warrant for his arrest on November 6. The Commission urged anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact its offices nationwide or the nearest police station.

The development follows an October raid on Sylva’s homes in Abuja and Bayelsa by soldiers, an incident his aide, Julius Bokoru, described as politically motivated and aimed at discrediting the former governor.
