The financial dispute involving members of the defunct music group Psquare took a significant turn on Friday at the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja, where the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said it has no evidence to support Peter ‘Mr P’ Okoye’s allegation that his brothers, Jude and Paul ‘Rudeboy’ Okoye, fraudulently withdrew 800,000 dollars from the group’s bank account.
During resumed cross-examination, EFCC counsel Mohammed Bashir told Justice Rahman Oshodi that the claim did not originate from the commission, stating that it was Peter’s responsibility to prove the allegation.
The case followed a 2024 petition in which Peter accused Jude, the group’s former manager, of diverting group funds, operating 47 undeclared bank accounts and manipulating the shareholding structure of their company, Northside Entertainment Ltd.
