The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) secured 3,785 convictions in 2022 – its highest-ever number of convictions within one year.
Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC Spokesperson, announced the figures in a statement yesterday, saying the figure represents a 70.5 percent improvement on the previous year’s record.
According to Mr. Uwujaren, the EFCC lost only 41 cases in 2022.
The Lagos office secured the highest number of convictions with the number coming up to 765, closely followed by the Ibadan Command with 573 convictions.
