Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to perform well, despite the absence of star striker Victor Osimhen, who is sidelined due to injury.
Eguavoen highlighted the capabilities of players like Victor Boniface, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Kelechi Iheanacho, stating that they can step up in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Libya.

While acknowledging the significant loss of Osimhen, who has been a key source of goals for the national team, Eguavoen emphasized that although the forward won’t be physically present, his spirit remains with the squad.
