The Island-bound lane of the Alaka-Costain-Iganmu section of the Eko Bridge will be closed to motorists from Sunday 23rd July 2023.
According to the Federal Controller of Works, Lagos State, Mrs Olukorede Kesha, the 40-day closure is to enable the contractor to carry out rehabilitation works on some damaged components of the bridge.

She added that the service lane leading to Iponri will be available, and some alternative routes will also be provided for motorists plying the route from Western Avenue and its environs.
Mrs. Kesha appealed to road users to cooperate with the Traffic Management Team deployed on the highway to manage traffic.
