Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has resigned from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and defected to the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
In a statement on Monday, El-Rufai accused the APC leadership of abandoning the party’s founding ideals. He said his concerns over the party’s trajectory had been ignored for two years, prompting his decision to leave.
