Former Arsenal star Emmanuel Petit has criticised his former club for making early-season mistakes that he believes have impacted their Premier League title race. Speaking to Ladbrokes, Petit said the Gunners dropped valuable points due to “silly mistakes” and avoidable red cards.
Arsenal currently sit third on the Premier League table, trailing Nottingham Forest and leaders Liverpool, who are nine points clear at the top. Despite having a strong squad, Petit noted that Arsenal’s lack of depth compared to Liverpool has made their campaign more challenging.
