The Enugu State Internal Revenue Service (ESIRS) has addressed the issue of multiple taxation by introducing a single yearly unified tax payment system using an e-ticketing solution.
According to ESIRS Chairman, Ekene Nnamani, this system allows business owners to pay their taxes just once a year, simplifying the process and eliminating the need to pay into different agencies.
The ESIRS boss further rejected recent reports ranking Enugu State last in the ease of doing business, affirming that the government remains committed to protecting businesses from the burden of multiple taxes.

Mr. Nnamani urged the media to provide accurate information about the agency to avoid misleading the public or creating unnecessary confusion.
