Brown Ideye made a late cameo as Enyimba played out a goalless draw against Bendel Insurance in Aba on Tuesday. The fixture marked Stanley Eguma’s first match at the helm of the People’s Elephant.
Ideye replaced Ifeanyi Ihemekwele in the 86th minute but could not break the deadlock. The result extends Enyimba’s winless run to 10 games across all competitions, piling pressure on the reigning NPFL champions.

Despite the draw, Enyimba climbed from 11th to 9th on the league table, while Insurance also gained ground, moving from 17th to 15th place.
The two sides will renew hostilities in the reverse fixture next month as both teams look to regain momentum in their respective campaigns.
