Eric Chelle has penned a heartfelt farewell to fans of MC Oran following his appointment as the head coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The 47-year-old Franco-Malian was officially named the substantive head coach by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) last week. His final match in charge of the Algerian side came in Saturday’s Algerian Cup clash against ES Sétif.

In a letter to the MC Oran faithful, Chelle expressed his gratitude for their unwavering passion, energy, and support during his tenure. He also extended heartfelt thanks to the people of Algeria for their generosity and warmth, describing his time in the country as deeply rewarding.
Chelle, who joined MC Oran on January 7, will be unveiled as the Super Eagles coach today, Monday 13th, in a ceremony at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, alongside his assistants.
