The Federation Account Allocation Committee says it distributed N1.96 trillion to the federal government, states and local government councils for December 2025. Details were contained in a communiqué issued by Bawa Mokwa, director of press and public relations at the office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, following FAAC’s January meeting.
According to the committee, the total distributable revenue comprised N1.08 trillion from statutory revenue, N846.5 billion from value-added tax and N38.11 billion from electronic money transfer levy. FAAC said gross revenue for the month stood at N2.58 trillion, with deductions of N104.6 billion for cost of collection and N511.5 billion for transfers, refunds and savings.

From the total allocation, the federal government received N653.5 billion, states got N706.4 billion, and local governments received N513.2 billion, while N96.08 billion was shared as 13 percent derivation revenue. FAAC said statutory revenue fell by N105 billion compared with November, while VAT rose by N350 billion, with company income tax, import duty and VAT recording significant increases during the month.
