The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has called on passengers to respect airport regulations and refrain from damaging airline or airport property in response to flight delays or cancellations.
FAAN’s Managing Director, Olubunmi Kuku, made the appeal in Lagos during a special Iftar with the authority’s Muslim community. She urged travellers to remain patient, stressing that both passengers and airlines have rights that must be upheld.

Meanwhile, FAAN has announced the temporary closure of Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan to allow for infrastructure upgrades. The project, carried out in partnership with the Oyo State Government, aims to bring the airport up to international standards.
