The Federal Government has terminated the contract for the 98-kilometre Oyo-Ogbomoso Road, previously awarded to Reynolds Construction Company, RCC.
The announcement came on Thursday in Ibadan during a Federal Roads Stakeholders’ engagement, where the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, explained that the contract would soon be reassigned to a new contractor. He emphasised the government’s commitment to addressing road infrastructure challenges and ensuring timely project completion.

The prolonged delay in completing the Oyo-Ogbomoso road has been a source of frustration, contributing to frequent accidents and loss of lives. Additionally, traders and farmers who rely on the route for daily economic activities have suffered significant financial losses, as the road serves as a crucial link between the northern and southern regions of Nigeria.
