The Federal Government has approved an increase in Nigerian passport application fees, to take effect from the 1st of September.
According to the Nigeria Immigration Service spokesman, A. S. Akinlabi, a 32-page passport with five-year validity will now cost ₦100,000, while a 64-page passport with ten-year validity will cost ₦200,000.

The new charges only apply to applications made within Nigeria. Fees for Nigerians abroad remain unchanged at 150 dollars for the 32-page passport and 230 dollars for the 64-page option.
The Immigration Service said the review is aimed at ensuring the quality and integrity of the Nigerian standard passport, while maintaining its commitment to accessible service delivery.
