Federal Government Unveils Final 2024 Savings Bond Offer

The Federal Government, through the Debt Management Office, DMO, has announced the final Savings Bond offer for 2024, presenting an opportunity for citizens to invest in secure and attractive fixed-income instruments.  

The offer includes a two-year bond maturing on 11 December 2026, with an annual interest rate of 17.48%, and a three-year bond set to mature on 11 December 2027, offering a slightly higher rate of 18.48%.  

Applications for the bonds opened on Monday, 2 December, and will close on Friday, 6 December 2024. Settlement is scheduled for 11 December, with interest payments to be disbursed quarterly on 11 March, 11 June, and 11 December.

Priced at ₦1,000 per unit, the bonds require a minimum subscription of ₦5,000, increasing in multiples of ₦1,000. The maximum subscription allowed is ₦50 million.
