Federal Government Unveils Industrial Revolution Work Group to Strengthen Manufacturing Sector

The Federal Government has inaugurated a 22-member Industrial Revolution Work Group, IRWG, as part of efforts to revitalise Nigeria’s manufacturing sector.  

Unveiled in Abuja on Thursday, the group is chaired by the Minister of State for Industry, John Owan Enoh, with Francis Meshioye, President of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, serving as co-chair.

The IRWG includes representatives from key government agencies and industry bodies, among them the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Power, the Ministry of Finance, the Nigeria Customs Service, the Nigeria Ports Authority, and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, NACCIMA. 

The initiative is expected to drive policy reforms and enhance industrial growth.
