FG Begins Payment Of NIMC Contractors

The Federal Government has begun payment of outstanding arrears of National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, Front-End Enrolment Partners, FEPs.

Speaking over the weekend during the commission’s management retreat in Abuja, the commission’s Director of Business Development and Commercial Services, Mrs Carolyn Folami, said so far, 96 FEPs have been revalidated, and the payment of outstanding arrears will soon commence.

The NIMC director said the revalidation effort was intended to sanitise the system while correcting identified gaps.

In her address, Engr Abisoye Coker-Odusote, the Director General and CEO of NIMC, charged the commission’s Front End Enrolment Partners (FEPs) with ensuring that no one is left out of the National Identity Number (NIN) registration process.

She also tasked them with complying with the terms of the Nigerian Data Protection Act.
