The Federal Government has directed civil servants working within the Federal Secretariat in Abuja to work from home on Friday, March 27, 2026. The instruction is due to the national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The directive was issued in a circular signed by Abdul Garba for the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. It stated that all access roads leading to the Federal Secretariat Complex, Phases One to Three, will be closed from March 27 to March 28.

Authorities say the measure is due to the use of Eagle Square for the APC national convention. Workers in affected ministries, departments and agencies, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, have been asked to remain off-site during the period.
