The Federal Executive Council has approved the construction of a new headquarters for the Bank of Industry (BoI) at Eko Atlantic City in Lagos. The decision was announced at Wednesday’s meeting in Abuja.
According to the approval, the new headquarters will include modern office facilities, business incubation spaces for SMEs, and development-financing units aimed at boosting manufacturing and export-oriented enterprises.

Council members said the move aligns with government efforts to strengthen industrial financing and create an enabling environment for small and medium-scale businesses. The location at Eko Atlantic was chosen for its strategic commercial value and easy access for partners and investors.
Construction is slated to begin early in 2026 once tenders are awarded.
