The approval was announced by Labour Minister, Simon Lalong, at the end of the FEC meeting presided over by President Bola Tinubu yesterday.

The Minister also revealed that he had met with the factions of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, as agreed to in item six of the MoU, which alleged the government’s interference in the activities of the union’s democratically elected leadership.
This announcement comes two weeks after the labour unions suspended their planned indefinite strike.
