The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to improving the nation’s competitiveness in raw materials and product development.
This commitment was underscored at the National Consultative Committee on Competitiveness (NCCC) conference, which convened stakeholders from various sectors to deliberate on the implementation of Nigeria’s national strategy for competitiveness in raw materials and product development.
The Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Uche Geoffrey Nnaji while delivering the keynote address, highlighted the critical importance of transforming Nigeria’s abundant raw materials into high-quality products. He underscored that achieving food security and boosting economic growth are possible through the application of biotechnology and other innovative technologies.

In his speech, Chief Nnaji stressed that the government’s focus on innovation and technology is pivotal in achieving sustainable economic development.
