Nigeria will officially launch the National Single Window, a digital trade platform, on 27th March. The electronic portal links all agencies involved in import and export processes to a single integrated system and is domiciled at the Nigeria Revenue Service.
The announcement was made on Wednesday by Femi Gbajabiamila, the President’s chief of staff, during a stakeholders’ meeting at the State House in Abuja. He described the platform as a major step in transforming Nigeria’s trade ecosystem and streamlining procedures.
Tola Fakolade, the NSW coordinator, said the platform’s first phase will allow online processing of import permits, electronic submission of cargo manifests, and a centralised risk management system. Pilot testing is set to begin soon, while nationwide user training is ongoing to ensure a smooth rollout.

Key government officials, including Wale Edun, Jumoke Oduwole, and Olayemi Cardoso, reaffirmed their support for the project, which they say will improve efficiency, enhance competitiveness, and reduce duplication in trade processes across the country.
