The Federal Government has launched a crackdown on criminal syndicates accused of defrauding applicants in the ongoing recruitment into Nigeria’s paramilitary services.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, CDCFIB, Major General Abdulmalik Jibrin (retired), warned that the fraudsters are posing as recruitment agents, charging fees and directing applicants to fake websites.

He emphasised that the recruitment process into all four paramilitary agencies under the Ministry of Interior is entirely free.
Applicants have been urged to use the official portal — www.recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — and avoid third-party platforms.
Security agencies have been alerted and are tracking those behind the fraudulent scheme, with a promise to prosecute anyone found culpable.
The Board urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity.
